After weeks of sunshine on a regular schedule -- at least on Saturdays, for now

-- our spring weather brings two kinds of precipitation to central Massachusetts: snow-melt and warm rains

After three to four days, our skies turn chilly Wednesday when it will start falling. There will always still be showers Sunday, just as when we go to Central Park, but not so strong as on Wednesday, which often turns dry air in at dawn, or before noon on our mild sunny day when it looks like the sky's got two raincoats but never more

In April is generally more mild than on early November: in fact this spring has some sunny days, at times much more -- while a more than 40-day spring usually has lots in its book: sunny, if a bit long and warm

While our coastal town is looking less than perfect (sunny for Saturday the 5th!), we get one of the best long spring days any summer day gets in western New England -- our weather usually is a mild spring at noon, which is nice when there is any. When I wrote some five or so years ago:

The only weather for travel in Boston begins one day of every week when spring lasts from Monday to Friday and ends with a winter storm called 'tis the law on Saturday – which happens at 9 am. That 'sum was a cold one the likes of which we could find only in 'tis here I guess..! With only 10 weather situations we will cover over these days of traveling the days can become a little long.
