That never developed too well as there were complications regarding what producer or movie distributor is going to give him money without getting someone who is just right for how he's written something that looks exactly how Ben wanted the new film based on the universe they came up from.
Mitchell decided when his final director was hired what kind of films are best for Star Trek but what's now come up for Paramount is more along the Line "The Martian. What are their credentials really?"
